After buying a Gen 4 Glock 20 10mm and loving it, I have decided another Glock is necessary for the collection. After some research, I have decided a Gen 4 Glock 32 in .357 Sig is a must have. The frame is slightly smaller than the beefy Glock 20. I had a Gen 4 Glock 23 in 40 SW in my hands, which is essentially the same gun, but different barrel and loved the feel of it. Now I could buy the model 23 in 40 and order the 357 Sig barrel and have eventually two guns and I might end up doing that, but I would really love the words: 357 Sig on the side of the gun. I will have to see if I can scare up one first. I am thinking I will likely put something together through the winter.

This will give me two nice Glocks, a 10mm and a 357 Sig. After playing with them some, I will likely upgrade triggers and sights.

Glocks might just very well become my next passion but probably in the weird rounds like 10mm and 357 Sig.

Curious as to why .357 Sig? Is it a just because you want it weapon? If so hell you should go for .45 GAP as well :lol

Can't say I'm a fan of 357 Sig, it's a round that doesn't serve any real need as a service caliber. It's not as widely available as 9mm, 40, or 45acp, and is expensive to shoot. If I were in your shoes, and bought a Glock 357, I would also buy a .40 barrel and run that most of the time.

If forced to choose between .40 and 357sig, I would always pick the .40. That said, I don't like the .40 either, having owned three .40 pistols in the past, and ditching them all. The 9mm +p loads these days approach 357 sig ballistics close enough although I always choose to run standard pressure 147 grain defensive loads in my Glock, and Beretta 92. No need to put the added stress and wear on guns with the higher pressure rounds.

One thing about the ammo shortage this year, .40 seemed to always be available when other calibers were not. When I did see 357sig on the shelf, it was like $30 for a box of FMJ. Screw that.

I agree with Sasha. If you want an oddball, then get the .45 gap, which is actually a pretty nice round, very accurate.

The40S&W is very good cartridge as I used it for my competitive combat matches.
Ammo availability is so much better if you don't reload.

Thx for the comments. Actually, lately, I have been eye balling the new Glock 30S, a compact slim frame 45 acp. As for the 357 Sig, looking over loadings at the 'Underwood Ammo' site, it does look like their 9mm+P loads are hard on the hells of the 357 Sig.

I don't like the 40 S&W. There are loadings in the 10mm that are similar to +P 40 loads and then there are some smoking hot loads too. Other than the size of the Glock 20 10mm, it is far more versatile. They make the Glock m29 in 10mm but it just doesnt seem right in the hand. Now of they made a slim frame glock 29 single stack, I would go with that.

But the Glock 30S slim frame 45 ACP seems like might make for a great fly vest gun.

I wished they make 357 magnum version or 38 super be nice to. These would make great Pin match guns.

My next glock turned out to be a long barrel gen 4 17 I think.
Found a place that priced them right. Ghost installed too.

I just sold my G26. I'll never buy another Glock again. 3rd times' a charm, and that's how long it took me to realize (all three times) that I can't stand anything they make.

Yes; however, shooting for the fun of it is great. Go and dump a couple thousand rounds through that thing this weekend!

Everyone needs a Glock 19. At least until Smith & Wesson makes an M&P mid-size 9mm...

I like the .357 Sig, the brass is a little harder to find and more expensive, but it is an easy round to load and very accurate in my P226. I have both barrels and shoot .40S&W most of the time simply because I have a lot of bullets and brass. The .357 has GREAT penetration and doesn't use much powder. Not very expensive to load at all (once you have the brass). But neither .40 or the .357 Sig can hold a candle to the .45 ACP. The 45 doesn't need "trick" bullets (plain ole FMJ ball will do nicely) and you don't need 14 rounds in the magazine to get the job done either. One solid hit with the 45 is worth at least 3 or 4 of the others. If you are on the fence, I would try to push you towards the .45 ACP........KING of the defensive rounds.
...........Just my $.02...........Don in SC
