I saw a picture of a fly tied on a #64 hook today, if you can believe everything you see on the Internet.

Is that the same as a fly tied on a #32 double hook?

Fastyacht, that is a bruiser. Those little bass will hit anything. I had one about that size hit a Humpback Mule plug several years ago. The fish was considerably smaller than the plug. He couldn't even get his mouth around the treble hook, but managed to hook himself on one of the points.

I had my brother hold the rod while I jumped in and scooped it up in my arms and flung in on the shore . :-) Gillchaser

Caught a smaller one yesterday. I downsized my spiders to size 18 and targeted the smaller ones . It’s harder to catch a micro on the fly than it is the bigger ones .
I want to figure out an easy tie dry for them . Gillchaser

You have no competition, you're the champ.
Beautiful little ones.

Thanks ! I think .
I don’t look at it as any type of competition, just sharing my fishing experience as one who catches tiny brookies from a mountain stream would .
Any fish that takes my fly , especially one I’ve tied, Is fun to catch to me . Gillchaser

I agree about the difficulty. You can't even feel them "hit" the fly!

Those stripes are beautiful.

This sounds exactly like the penfishingrods.com kind of stuff, still can't figure out why they have never been mentioned on this site.
