Have any of you guys bought flies from the online "Discountflies.com" store? They have a good price on poppers but whats advertised is not necessarily what shows up at the mailbox .

I use Big Y Fly Co. I've used them for two years and been really happy. Haven't ordered poppers, but have ordered hundreds of trout flies and they have always shipped me what I ordered. Prices are 1/3 the big box stores.

If you have a Cabela's near you they have discount flies this time of the year, available only in the store....not online.
I've used Big Y too. I've had to drop a bit of nail polish on the tips of some to glue the threading but otherwise been very
happy with them. Really like Big Y's Yuk Bug.

A little late to the response, but I've had very good results from Discount flies and very much like their small poppers. I'll do my own, but stop at size 12 on poppers and never venture below 14/16 on everything else.

Thanks MD.......One of my new hotspots is loaded with riprap/large rocks and boulders and with my awesome casting skills I usually slap a rock or two and then its bye bye popper....therefore I'm trying to keep it on the cheap :lol
