 Post subject: Broke A tip

So I broke a tip on a 3 wt I took to Montana ( I also broke a 2wt but that's another fish tale) ! How can I tell what size tip top to get to repair it ? The outside of the rod tip measures 1.8 mm . TIA

1.8 mm is 0.071 inches. 5/64 inch tiptop is 0.078 inches. That's as close as you're going to get.

Do you have a Mudhole catalog?

There's a chart in there that you can use to size tips (not actual size)

I picked up their gauge. It's only around six bucks.

Well I must apologize. 1.8 mm is 4.5/64 size (1.786 mm) which are readily available. Sorry!
