Let us know how it's going Jangles. I guessing from you last post water is scarce where you live, that's got to be frustrating for a fly fisherman.

Got that right . Come April 5th if I'm still alive I leave for Colorado and all parts that aren't AZ for the summer . Not coming back til I catch every species of trout out here at least a few times .

Jangles, What you said about casting out and the line just falling down in a pile
out about 30 ft. sounds like me many years ago. I can handle a large rod and line,
so I just reared back and let her fly. What I was doing, was letting my machoism
get the best of me. I was just over powering the whole operation. Solution; just
let the rod do the work it's intended to do. Just go easy and the rod will surprise
you in what it can really do. Try to form a tight loop, both forward and back. But
go easy and it will come to you.

Lots of luck. Crunchy

Crunchy you are correct . I finally figured tat out from different videos . Thx.

I got Royal Wullf Ambush line for Christmas but still no water to try it . I drove to a spot tat was full of water last time out there and it was empty . In total I put 80 miles on my truck looking for water . There is a nice big pond/ water hole just a mile from me but has NT signs all over it . It's behind a cotton field and fenced off . Thanks for all the replies .
