Janus here glad you all got this going looking foward to participating. I am building a 6'6" forecast 2wt now...nothing like building a rod in the winter you just wiggle the rod in the basement for 3months(insert joke here)...but it's shaping up to be a beauty. Spent alot of time this summer going after gills with a 3wt and had my most memorable experiences that way. This 2wt will hopefully bring many more memories.

Janus, I'm glad you made it here. Andy and I are looking forward to making this forum a great place to hang out. Also, what do you say we plan a trip to Paine creek sometime in the late spring or early summer. That would be a great creek for 2wt's.

Yeah I love Paine too. Have you fished Mill creek at all? It's only a few miles from Paine. I like Mill too although it is not magical like Paine. You have to give your description of Paine for the rest of the guys, it's quite hilarious.

Andy, it just depends on where you are in the state. Up north were Janus lives most of those rivers and streams are shale. Here were I am they can be free stoners or sand and muck bottomed.

Here is what I wrote about Paine Creek in my blog. " it was unreal how beautiful it was, the serenity was almost overwhelming. I told a friend of mine I was waiting for a unicorn to come out of the woods and shoot a rainbow out of it's ass. Not a very successful day but sighted some small bass and got one to bite. He was the size of a small chicken tender I felt embarrassed to have put him through such an ordeal for my own benefit. I apologized when I set him free." Janus

You apologized to Chicken Tender the bass? I love catching the small ones, they are prettier!

What kills me is the Unicorn bit, it's just too funny, but very fitting.

You know it's a good day of fishing when the bluegill you catch can eat the last bass you caught!
