Don't know the rod but do know that Echo owner, Tim Rajef, is big on glass. It's what he mostly fishes so I imagine it's a decent rod.

I have the rod in a 4wt. It's one of my favorite rods. Great rods for the price IMO. Thinking about picking up some more... Headed to brookie country for the weekend and wishing I had the 2 or 3 wt. I don't think you would be disappointed.

I have that rod and it is my favorite. I use a Lamson ULA SL 2 reel with the Echo Airflo line. It is great most any where.
