Anyone have any thoughts on a 10ftish 3wt nymph blank? It's a project I'm looking at and I'm not finding much out there. It's for a kid so the thought is a less expensive blank.

Thanks,

Seems like I've seen that config occasionally on Rods by Roger on eBay. 29 bucks. I've never tried one but have wondered how accurate the line ratings are.

I was going to suggest the same thing. Also not a complete project, butyou could go with a 8' TFO BVK 3wt blank and get the conversion kit. Would give you a custom 8' rod with the option of a 10' rod as well.

I had thought about the TFO but really don't want to go down that path at this time.

Thanks,

Tom Bell at Sunray has some 10 ft two weight JPL2 blanks on his website. Really intended for nymphing, but is also very effective with dries.
