Not quite the best deal ever. When I decided to buy mine and looked on the Cabela's site it was priced at $41.81. I think that price was only good for that evening, but I made out like a bandit. One of the best buys I ever made. I have a lot of ultralight rods, but the CGR is one of my favorites.

Okay, that is a better deal. I'm jealous. Took mine for a walk today.

Sounds as if you may need to order two. Or a reel to go with it.

Funny story ... I was at the Cabela's in Buda yesterday, browsing the fly shop while waiting to pick up a CGR 2wt for the Meet-Up silent auction and saw a guy wiggling rods. My buddy who works there was off trying to find our donation and no one else was around. Struck up a conversation, asked him what he was looking for ... he said: "Well, I'm from Houston, and a friend of mine is retiring as a game warden today and I left the TFO rod I got him at home. He says he's going to be spending a lot of time up in the mountains in New Mexico."

Turns out I know his retiring friend, who also is the president of the local FFI Club. I ended up selling the guy on two CGR 2wts -- one for him and one for his buddy. He reached into his pocket and said: "Can I pay you here?" Me: "Oh no, I don't work here ... I'm just waiting on someone." LOL.

Way to go Aaron, you may have just made a couple of new converts. :applause :applause :applause And speaking of jealousy, I hope I can catch one of those Rios like you're holding. The last time I was in the Hill Country only one our guys managed to catch a Rio, and that was pretty much by accident.

Larry, I hesitate to make promises when it comes to fishing, but I can nearly promise we'll get you on some Rios. Here's one from today in a brand-new (to me) spot on the south side of Austin. CGR 2wt again. They're kinda like arrowheads or fossils ... once you know what you're looking for, they're everywhere!
