I am looking for a moderate action rod, probably in a 3wt or possibly 2wt, for small river and stream fishing, mainly for trout. I do use a mix of dry flies and wet flies (but probably not streamers with this setup).

Any opinions regarding the Sage Circa (I know it is discontinued), Orvis Superfine (either carbon or glass) and the Redington Classic Trout (CT)? What other rods should I consider?

I probably have the ability to test cast most of these, but not at the same place, so I cannot do A/B comparisons on the spot, but would have to rely on memory.

Thanks.

For dries and wets in small rivers and streams, I'd probably downsize to a 1wt and buy a 7'6" RDP but like everything else, fly fishing is personal preference :) That said, of the ones you list I have cast the redington classic trout in 3wt and found it to be quite nice!
