That line would work wonders on a 3wt rod. You can fish down and across pretty well with it.

I was thinking of buying T130 after fishing it an afternoon with Bulldog on his home waters. The stuff rolls easily and can drift and hold a current like it's magnetic. Perhaps I ought to try some of this. Here's the link to Bob Marriott's site. 100 grain for $38.00 a box:

I've been thinking about maybe getting a 100 grain sinking line. I'd like to have a 3wt all out assault system.

J, it doesn't sink too quick. You can realistically fish 2-4ft water with it. I guess if you wanted to fish deeper, just wait, but in rivers, that should be more than deep enough!

Perhaps a cut-down version of this will work- from Rio- a sinking leader:

I want something for spring crappie in the lakes here. I need to be able to get down to around 10 feet.

I fish these a lot, on rods from 3-wt to 5-wt.
(and even on my 6/7 Vince Cummings Water Witch, but it acts more like a 3-wt).
Great for deep fishing in still water, Super hot for streamers and swinging soft hackle wet flies, and even fishes great in riffle water with tip-up down-and-across swings.

Counting down in still water, you will have no problem fishing 10' down to crappie. Plus the line is so small, you will feel the crappie.

You should buy these directly from jimteeny.com (small water series -same price as marriotts) so that you can buy their 4' tapered leaders at the same time.

Thanks for the info Ron. I think I'll pick up one of those lines then.
