Anyone have a good source for inexpensive fly line backing? I hate paying $7-8 plus shipping for a 100 yard spool of 20# backing.

That's what I bought last time. A different brand, but braided dacron. I just can't see the price difference just because a product is labeled "backing". I really think it's basically the same stuff anyway. Mikey

If you are using it where the fish will never get you in the backing this is the cheapest you can find www.jannsnetcraft.comitem #971-100-003 2200 feet for $11.99; thats about 733 yards; but not nearly as good as the braided dacron-p-

Andy, I'd call first. When I was last at the Ft Worth store I couldn't find it, so I had to order it on-line. Les
