Always liked the way they looked some have a small diameter but seem to be wide. Anyone this style of reel?How heavy is brass?ImageJanus

I have one. Paid too much for it though. They are heavy and the feet are wider than modern reel seats. Don

I have one, but it's not brass. Mine is a small reel with the crank centered as in the photo with a little older silk line.

I plan to put some lightweight line on it, and I was thinking of using Don's technique for splicing and creating a little shooting head.
