For all you guys who love ultra-light fly fishing you need to check out dorbers ultra weave rods and blanks. They built these rods to mimic the action of bamboo with a graphite rod. These rods are the ultimate little brim poles. Call and talk to Ray bauer about them or go online and read about them on www.dorber.com. I am in no way affiliated with them, but its a nice under publicized product. They also have a line of "Li"l Streamer" rods for use on small creeks, made famous by Bob Brunsell. This is where I got the idea for the little "tadpole" rods I build on the e-glass spin blanks by batson. I guess the little tadpoles are not ultra-lites because they are 4 ,5 and 6 weight short small waters rods, but theyre a lot of fun to use. I wish i could find some blanks that were lighter action than the batson e-glass spin blanks. I love the action of the ultraweave blanks but they are a little costly-p-

Dorber makes some great blanks, and we even have access to a 10' 1wt.

It is a fly rod blank, but that blank could be a bear to cast with all of that length...

It could be a fun little rod Gene. I would like to build a 9' 3wt to fish on tailwaters...

Depending upon price, the Lamiglas Perigree might be a better value for that length and line weight.
