What's your favorite UL reel, and maybe your close 2nd?

Waterworks ULA Purist is an easy #1.

My number 2...? Well I miss my Colorado 0, but a really close #2 to the ULA is my Velocity 1.0

I might have a great reason to pick up a Galvan Brookie before too long though, so I might start swaying a little. Though I doubt that ULA will ever be beat.

3. Wychwood River and Stream

I've got a nice little Redington CT 2/3. It's a solid little click pawl that weighs a shade over 3oz. Balances my Dorber Ultraweave 1wt really well.

I'd really like to get something UL and vintage...like maybe a Martin MG3.

English made CFO 1 for me. I just snagged a Brookie as well, and it's a much more unique feel than I expected. Seems like an awesome reel, but I'm curious to see what it will feel like on the rare occasion when I need to take a fish on the reel.

I'm currently in a toss up between my Redington Drift and my Orvis BBS II.

Anyone else been to the Orvis site and noticed the BBS I and II's are on sale for $69 shame none are available :(

I kind of like the old, crappy Martin click reels. Most of mine have the super-crappy "tooth" caliper drag -- but they work fine and seem pretty indestructible.

The orvis click reels are great too -- I have the "I" model and like it a lot.

All my reels do is store line for the purposes of this forum :)

The one I own and is my favorite-maybe for sentimental reasons-is a Lamson LP1.

The favorite one I had and lost-is a Ross San Miguel 1-I rarely admit I lost it as it still makes me sick but I did.

My second favorite that I presently own is probably the Ross Rhythm 0.

For floating lines I like my Lamson Litespeed LS1 or my LP-1. A close second are my Battenkill 3/4 Spring/ pawl and Barstock I.
One I just got and haven't used enough yet is a LL Bean Aquis L1. It could make the list. Time and cooler temps will tell.
For my Teeny BS-100 I like my System 2, 23L.

I just received a BBS III. This should go well with my CZN 3wt for high stick nymphing. BBS II is a little bit too light for this application. Otherwise, I have a few BBS II's, and they work great.

I have three Lamson LP 1.5 click pawl reels and 3 extra spools. I use them on everything from from my 1 wt through my 4 weight. Great reel. Well made, classic look, and great sound when a fish runs.

Hi flflash, yeah the spools are on sale for 35$ I would buy two of them but the cost of shipping from US to South Africa is the same as adding the cost of another spool to it lol. I seriously need to visit the States when there are fly fishing discounts going on! ;) Will buy 200 spools!

Besides, this gave me the chance to try out some lower light shots.

For me, and only reels I've used, it's

1) Ross Colorado
2) Lamson Litespeed
3) Martin 60/61 (the sentimental choice)

Some days I'd switch my 1 and 2, but lately I've been in a C&P sorta mood.

Oh, and I'd love to get my hands on a Lamson ULA Purist!
