Just looking to see if anyone has an opinion on this rod. Particularly the 1-2 weight Elk Meadow. I saw it referenced on Bill Byrd's site and thought I ask about it here. It's expensive but if is has all the utility it claims then it might serve the purpose of two rod weights. At least that's how I would rationalize it if I was to purchase one.

I would like one, but the price is hard to justify! I have read about that one on there a couple times and it is intriguing.

I also read about them on Byrd's site, they certainly are interesting. I could never afford one myself. I'm glad though that you mentioned the Hexagraph rods, it's just another option for us Ultralight fly fishers. I'll post the Hexagraph site in the links.

I test casted one early in the spring, and to be honest, A real bamboo rod felt tons better. not that I can afford either, but it's just my honest opinion.

I have a 7'3" rod I built on a Hex blank. I thought is would make a good 3 weight. It does cast a WF7F beautifully. Not my first choice of blanks for a 2 weight. Don
