Is it me, or lately has the color Olive, split into two different colors? Recently I have been ordering my materials from the web, so I can not visually inspect the actual item before purchase and my olive products are coming in two variations:
1. in my option, a more traditional greenish color olive leaning towards a darker green 2. a little lighter, more yellowish color green, also labeled olive.
I have seen the happen in both feathers and 6/0 & 8/0 thread. Has anyone else experienced this?

I thought he was talking about Popeye's girlfriend, Olive Oyl.

Cliff: I can always count on you to up the wingnut ante! Marltroutbum: Yes, it would be great if everyone could just agree to use the pantone numbers (or whatever that baseline colour system is). I've found 'chartreuse' gets a rather broad interpretation, too.

The good news is that this issue will be non existent when you get older, your eyesight goes along with getting a touch of color blindness Mark

Yep, and only old people like me remember Popeye and Olive Oyl. No, Popeye is not related to Popeye's Fried Chicken.

Its even worse for Olive the Other Reindeer. No one even thinks of her until they start singing at Christmas.

As best as I can figure, its called "sleazy sunrise". could be wrong. I love her famous quote: "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way".
