OC White Green-Lite (82400) The optical glass is absolutely stunning and the three way adjustable and dim-able leds are nice as well.

It all depends upon how bright and warm the LED is. Many are just too much light. I wear the inexpensive "hood" now under a 4 ft flourescent when I can. Since moving I haven't found time to finish my work/hobby room so nothing goes today.

I remove the small monocle and use the two inside lens depending upon how much magnification I want.

I went through a few lights until I finally got a Ott light. The feature you want is a "Full Spectrum" light, so colors will appear as they do in sunlight. To get close the light must have a color temperature of at least 5000K. If you decide you want an Ott the only way to buy one (in my opinion) is to go to the Michael's Craft store website, find one of their coupons, which they do often and then buy it. Right now the light I have - a 13W Craft Light with Magnifier normally $105 is $62.99 with the 40% off coupon on the front page of the website.

Yes, another vote for the Ott. I got one in Sept. with three different light adjustments for brightness. This light is great and takes up little room.

As for a magnafier, I have the Carson with a small LED light. I hardly ever use the light, especially now that I have the Ott, but it's nice to have.

I use this https://www.harborfreight.com/fluoresce ... 60643.html

I really only use the magnifying glass to inspect rod wraps. This light has made a big difference.

I never purchased an Ott Light, but I see them in see them in sewing supply shops. Check those stores for sales and you can get one of those lights at a bargain price.
I use a light with a circular florescent bulb and a magnifying lens in center that I purchased from Cabelas some years ago. Adios Philip
