A place that I like late in the season had a rough time in NH's drought last year. Some parts of it had slowed to a trickle.
I went back for a look, hoping it would be better this year.
It does look good, I'm happy to say.
Haven't used my older TXL 00710-3 for a while, so that's what I took this time. I like the Bass Pro UL Classic reel with this rod, with a 1 wt. line.
This is one of the steepest places I fish. You can get some idea from this picture.

One thing I like about this place is the looks of the fish. It has some of the most perfect small wild brook trout of anywhere I know.

That's some beautiful but rugged terrain. The brookie is just plain beautiful. Glad the water is back up.
