Well due to the weather I didn’t get out to test it the way I wanted. Saturday we had 1 1/2” of rain that managed to blow the creek I had in mind for Sunday morning.so bing the relatively quick thinker, I had my Single action .22LR pistol with me stopped by the range and went threw a box of shells. Spending the last two years in TX spoiled me. Was freezing at 36° lol but decided to head across hwy 460 and hit up Pandapas Pond. They haven’t stocked it yet, but that doesn’t really matter to me. Fishing is fishing what ever bites is what I go for. I rigged up at the truck. 1wt Orvis Superfine Carbon, Battenkill I reel, Superfine wf1f line, 7 1/2, leader, strike indicator and one of knotty’s Utah Killer Bugs from the Fly swap and headed down to the pond. The rain had the outlets of the pond flowing again so I cast out and let the bug drift towards the outlet in the current, first cast picked up this guy.

And another one of these.

Called it quits shortly after that, may have spent a total of 30 mins on the water fighting the wind and cold in jeans and a sweat shirt. And to think I was fishing the south platte in Colorado in -11° a couple of years ago with no issues, getting weak in my old age lol.
