Well rain and wind let up enough to get out for a bit before work on two separate occasions. First was Wednesday last week on the Roanoke River in Salem VA. I broke my 3wt Recon on Tuesday and picked up a TFO Pro II replacement. Got it slimed on Wednesday. #14 psycho prince for both.

Next up was Wednesday of this week. I stopped at Tinker Creek, about 2miles from work. It was raining, lightly so I figured why not. It wasn’t to bad. First cast landed this nice little fat Rainbow on the same psycho prince.

Guessing somewhere in the 12-14” range. If you look close you can see the Rainbow Warrior as my dropper. I picked up this guy the fourth or fifth cast threw the same hole on the Rainbow warrior.

Now I have caught brookies in the past. Native mostly in Colorado and here in VA. Most in the 4-8” range and thought that the 8” ones were about as big as I would see. Never expected to pull out a stocked brooky in the 12” range.
