Heat and humidity. Uggh. Short trip.

This fish was bright red. Unfortunately, the camera (cell phone) didn't pick that up. Put a deep bend in the 2wt.

Wow! What a beautiful fish! What is it? Looks very sturdy.
If you're going to be uncomfortable outside, you may as well be fishing! (it was 44F and raining here yesterday)

I have never seen a fish like that one. If you catch more of those, please post many pics cause I'd like to see more of them.

And like Brent asked, what type of fish is it?

Thanks, Strummer. what a beautiful fish!
I went to that webpage, and then checked the page on non=native fish in Florida. WOW! That's quite a list, although I understand your state has been 'blessed' with a lot of informal stocking of fish, reptiles, amphibians and mammals.
Well, if life hands you lemons....may as squeeze a few over some non-native fish fillets!
(I guess our 5 month winters take care of any tropical releases. Our list of non-natives includes rainbow and brown trout, largemouth bass and muskies. I'd include smallmouth, but they've been here since the 1800s)

Yeah, like buddy said, post some more photos, if you can!
