Today I got lucky.

Had a bonefish breakup my tippet only to catch the same bonefish 20 minutes later. See the picture with the two flies in the same spot.

I also landed a second one but, when I lifted it got unhooked and jumped back in the water. Took a pic of him in the water.

All this using a Maxcatch 1wt Ultra Lite rod and a Piscifun Sword 2 reel.

The fly is something I named Bonefish Crack. They love it so much they'll take second one while hooked! ImageImageImageImage

Thanks Jim!

That's one tough little rod. Has landed 5 bonefish so far.

Yeah, that looks like great fun. Would you mind saying what line and leader setup you are using?

Thanks Pete. I am using a Maxcatch 2wt line, the one that is around $12 or so. The leader is 6 feet of 30 pound test fluoro, followed by a 3 feet 17 pound test tippet.

I have the same rod. It came with 1wt line, but doesn't seam to through very well. I will give some 2wt. line a try!
