Hi guys, I'm just about to mix up my first set of rod finish epoxy and I was just wondering how much of part A and part B to mix up for my 9' 5wgt. I've. Also got to finish a 6'6" 2 wgt and a 6'6" glass 3 wgt. Just a bit unsure of the quanties required per rod. Thanks for any help. Grant

When mixing, the 50-50 ratio is important. If you try to mix a very small batch it's difficult to be sure its 50-50. Some epoxy suppliers recommend you mix a minimum of 1½-2 cc of each part for that reason. For a small batch I still use 1½ cc of each.

I'll do a nine footer in two sessions and batches, with 3 cc a batch you'll have some left over from each mix. If you go to 1 cc of a and b each, be very careful with your measurements. It can be done, good syringes are a help.

be careful with medical syringes. The rubber plunger is lubed with silicone. epoxy + silicone = fish eyes
