I do most of my small stream bookie fishing with 3 wt . I have just gotten 2 Jams Green glass blanks . A NTS 7'6" 2 wt and a Salvelinus 6' 1 wt. . they look great and hope to build them this winter . I have 1 wt WF , 2 wt. WF and 2 wt. DT lines to try . My first under 3 wt . With a bushy dry fly ( wolf ) what size fly for short tight casts ? Thanks

Not fun to tie, but I like to throw size 16-18 wolfs for small streams.

Also, if you are looking to split the difference with a 6' 2wt. I just added a new series of fiberglass blanks to my site. You can check them out here:

I would say size 16 on the one weight, 12-14 on the two weight depending on leader length, wind and ability.
