Already put this on the fiberglass board but not many builds on here lately, so I thought I'd liven it up. This is my 4th build, one of Proof FF's blanks and downlocking seat. I turned the spacer and the grip myself so they'd match. PacBay Old Gold thread with light khaki accent. Black nickel snakes. Spar varnish over epoxy. Final weight was a shade over 2oz.

Great looking build! How do you like Proof's downlinking seat?

Yeah it's nice. Very light. Works well for UL. Matt is great to do business with too.

that one would be perfect for the San Grabriel and other smaller Hill Country streams

Casted it today and it's really nice. Surprised at how good it roll casts for a 6ft rod. I tried a WF 2 and a 3, and liked the 3 better (Sage Quiet Taper) for the kinda fishing I'd do with this rod. A DT2 would probably be good.
