Very nice. There was a time when I couldn't envisage myself ever using a rod lighter than 3 weight, and I had several. I now have several 2 weights. Now that I have finally retired and gone to a fixed income, maybe I can keep myself from slipping down to an even lighter rod. I don't know, I'm pretty weak willed when it comes to new rods.

Yeah I think I've been on a similar path. I got a 3wt (now I have 4-ish). Then a 1wt (now I have 3). And I'm building these low to medium cost rods and I just keep hanging onto them. But I haven't fished the last two because I might actually sell them and want them to be new condition. Not sure the rodbuilding thing is suiting me in that regard. I'm probably going to hit a critical mass and then have a sell-off. Thanks for the comments!

Nice work! What's the length when it's broken down?

Cool rod I too got caught up in building rods and now have some where around 30 of em.
Bought some Kenneys and Wojnickis too.
Oh yes. Can't forget my treasured Dennis Franke 2 wts. My faves!
Gotta start selling some and get over it.

strummer, it's around 14.5" broken down.
And yeah, I'm still buying and building but also selling.

StalkerMike: The Kenneys and Wojnickis are fabulous enough, but any GlasTech by Dennis Franke is the fabled unicorn. Larry

My Frankes are the 8'9" Meadow Maiden and 8'9" Para. Both carbon fiber and both 2 wts.
They are superb trouting tools and a joy to just look at.
