Shop 3pc 2wt. Nothing special on this one, but I thought I'd show this one I just finished for those wondering about it. Also still learning, so advice/critiques welcome. I figure even the economy blanks can be dressed up a bit, so there's Lemke, Snake Brand, some pretty decent cork... and managed to keep it under 100 bucks. The insert was turned from a spalted alder blank that was thrown in for free on an order, sort of a second I guess. I found it interesting enough for this build. Thread is Rattan w/chestnut accents, and Kimono Sesame on the guides.
I wanted something for the smallest of fishing opportunities, sort of a mini rod, for small urban creeks for panfish, bass and the local Rio Grande perch (cichlids). Oh yeah, and cheap. This is definitely not one of those stiff UL blanks. Very limber, into the grip, but no noodle either. I plan on using it as a light 1wt, which seemed fine in a test cast.
