The Rocky Mountains are a spectacular and majestic place to fish. I prefer the creeks compared to the bigger rivers because of the solitude and beauty. Plus, it allows me to use the lighter rods that bring me much pleasure, more so than 5wts and above just can't seem to provide for me. To be honest, I do own one 5wt and a 9wt, but the rest 4wts and below are the majority of what I own.

I enjoy the creeks using dry flies catching brook trout char, and cutthroats, but will in no way reject rainbows or browns because I believe all fish are welcome to take my offerings. I will admit that I am one who just enjoys getting out and fish without having to catch fish. I like the therapy that just casting a fly line has to offer. Its good to just get out and play.

I have noticed something here that seems to be a popular item among some of the members. That is the TFO Finesse rods. With so many members giving that rod great praise, especially in the 3wt area, I may have to try one myself.

Yes, I believe this is a good place to be.
