Hi all. Been fly fishing an fly thing since 1973. Started rebuilding old rods and blanks 5yrs ago. Started fishing when I was 5. Been retired for 10yrs. Married. Served in the Navy from1964 to 1968. Am a nam boots on the ground vet, 1966 to1967. Just getting into ultralight fly fishing an started building a 3 wt 5ft2in pole from an old pole I had lying around. Thinking about building a 10ft 1man fly fishin scow for the lakes. Glad to be here. A very interesting forum. Later, ScowMan

Welcome aboard ScowMan from an old jarhead nam boots on the ground vet. Only been flyfishing since about 1988, but have been fishing 3 weights and lighter off and on since the mid-90's, and almost exclusively over the past 7-8 years. You can find a lot of information here about ultralight fishing.

Thanks guys. Right now I have been rebuilding my shop so I have not finished my 3wt. I have the shop well on it's way so today i am working on my new rod wrapping bench. I have to figure out how to build a sliding seat for it. I have about six rods to Finnish building so indeed to get busy. Anyways I have to design my 10ft one Person fishing scow. To much to do an a short time to get it done. Later guy's

Hi ScowMan. I haven't been on this board much in quite awhile. I retired last year and live a little ways up north. I often frequent some nice year-round fresh and saltwater fisheries down your way. Welcome!
