Great video. I've been considering getting a kayak to fish from but I haven't had a lot of free time to fish lately. That kayak is on sale at academy for $399 I think. I was looking at them the other day.

Thank you for your comment. I also went into Acadamy expecting to pay that price for the 10 footer when next to it I saw the 12 foot going for the same price, that being a no brainer at check out the price was reduced to 320 dollars needless to say I was one happy kayaker. As Les says the price comparison for the same hull WT - Perception is remarkable and hard to resist.

In the video, I loved the way she drops slowly into the water on release, and once fully submerged, explodes.

That's a great bass!! I'm jealous of your fishspecies, you have all sorts of predatory fish. Which are great on the fly. We do have yellow perch which are great fish too! Love the bend in that rod by the way, i'll be orderering my tfo next week

Thank you Merijn for your comment, I guess every country has a fish species that we would like to target, must admit though that it is a real blessing here to have so many warm water species that are fairly easy to catch on the fly. You will not be sorry to experience catching even a small fish on the TFO 2 weight.

That's a great video and fish Eric. Thanks for posting. I thought the bass was going to break off in the weeds; good catch on any size rod but remarkable on a 2 wt.
Healthy looking bass too.

As you might have read i'm building my own #1 at the moment. But i'm considering bying a tfo prof #2 or #3 in the future.. on the forum there was a list with common cents tests with also the tfo #2 witch came out as an almost 4 weight. So a #2 would be better then a #3

That got sketchy with the reeds,
well played.

Thank you, yes the reeds had me worried, I have in the past been accused of "horsing" the fish , this time I stand accused but could not let him have his way.

Merijn, the. TFO 2 weight may read as a 4 weight I cannot argue the common cents system, as demonstrated on the big bass it can handle big fish. It would be interesting to know what the common cents reading would be on the Stowaway 6
3 weight as that rod can handle heavy lines, not so much the TFO 2 weight.

I know this is an old thread, but I sure hope you bought your rod a drink after that, Linecaster. Holy cow!

And I second the Perception Pescador 12 -- I've owned probably a dozen kayaks in my life, and the old Tarpon 120 was always my favorite all-around boat: agile enough for rivers, tracks well enough and fast enough for the bay.

I was delighted to find that I could get one for $300 cheaper than a Wildy T-120 (Academy puts them on sale at least once a year, got mine for $399). Austin Canoe & Kayak has the "cat hatch bags" for the small round hatchtes for $12.

That rod is my favourite, I broke a section of it and visited the TFO store in Dallas and the rod was replaced free. That was about 8 years ago. That is my goto rod. The kayak is my second Pescador, sold the first one and immediately regretted it. Thanks for the heads up about the pouch I must get one.

I knew the TFO folks were a good bunch the first time I visited and saw that everyone brought their dogs to work!
