Headed north a couple weeks ago for a few days to break in 2 new rods. Unfortunately this was just drive-up fishing and not my typical hike-in, so no cutts this time. I said this in my rod building thread but the Finesse is definitely my choice for this kind of fishing over the AR glass 3wt.

First spot I only pulled out the 1wt Finesse. This creek had a lot of fish and they were very willing, even several from the same pool. Even with the water a little low, it was pool after pool like this:

And these:

First fish with Finesse (2nd cast):

Then some brookies:

And the brightest one I've ever caught:

Next spot was only a few miles away from a busy area. Also pulled out the AR glass rod here.

First you start seeing this kind of stuff:

Then this, where the anticipation starts for me:

And this:

Drive-up fishing:

This creek was loaded with small brookies with an occasional decent one:

Tried on the CFO for a shot:

One last shot:

Stunning pictures love the first one with the pool and then the one with the barn, all of them are awsome. Is that a GX460 or LX 470 you're driving?

Nah, too rich for my blood. The 4Runner SR5 (with a couple extras) suits me just fine. It's a 2012 I just bought about a month ago. Appreciate the comments.

Very, very nice. Don't know where you were, but wish I could find it :P . The 7'9" 3 weight Finesse is a sweaty as well.

great looking rods - the Finesse 1 weight with a proper grip must be great - the standard one ist just super small and thin... Are those blanks available seperatly or did you midify a rod? - I had a quick look, but didnĀ“t find your build thread...
