Came just in time to be eligible for an anniversary gift (27 yrs, Friday the 13th). We spent a day canoeing, fishing, and hiking. The Hardy looks, feels, and sounds great on the 3 wt bamboo. It holds an entire DT3F and about 20 yards of backing.

Fished for four hours, a dozen different flies, two rods, three lines, and not even a bite Image The casting was fun though.

Hey, thanks everyone! It's a pretty slick little reel and nice and light. I have to admit though that I think the sounds it makes while stripping line off is my favorite part. I guess I'm just easily amused :-)

Thanks Les!

I'm thinking in late March or April it ought to be really good. The lake is fairly deep and the only guys I saw catching fish yesterday were dredging from boats. Didn't see any bream or bass in the shallows.
