After a couple or more decades of hard use my dear old Wood River tackle bag is on its way out.

Would any one out there have one they wish to part with in possibly new/close to new condition.

I'm looking for the larger one which is 12" x 6" x 7"deep.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck Mike; the biggest one I could find was 10" x 4" x 6". Have you looked at the Fish Pond Lodgepole satchel? It may be too big for you at 14" x 5" x 11.5", but I have been using one for the last 3-4 years, and I have no idea how long it might take to wear one of these out. It is made of a fairly substantial canvas material, has a very comfortable shoulder strap. I can carry far more in it than I ever actually need, but it is much more comfortable than wearing a vest. I also have a William Joseph satchel, but it is definitely too big. I will use it more as a carryall, not something wear on the stream.

Hi Larry

Thanks for your reply.

I never did get comfortable with vests and l've used the Wood River so long it's hard to imagine using anything else since it's been so good.

Fishpond seems to look like a good quality item but it was nice that the Wood River was made in America.

Mike,
Just out of curiosity, I decided to look around and see what was available that was made in USA. I was surprised at how many companies are still making various types of bags here in the US:
baileyworks.com
battlelakeoutdoors.com
duluthpack.com
tucker-bloom.com
millscanvas.com
demartinibags.com

I don't know if you can find anything here you like, but if you want American made, it's worth a look. There is a wide variety of bags and a wide variety of prices.

Larry

P.S.- And if you want that really spiffy British look, there is always the Chapman bags made in England. Pricy but nice. (chapmanbags.com)

I have a wood river tackle bag somewhere in my basement. I do not know what size it is. When I Googled it and saw the different ones I can say for sure it is not the large one with 3 tippet pockets it only has 2. I hardly used it and would be willing to sell it. Let me know if your interested and I could get you some pictures.
