A famous lecturer in medical sciences was addressing a group of doctors.

“The foods we consume should have killed us years ago.

Chinese food, for example, is loaded with MSG.

Soft drink are acid that eats away at the lining of your stomach.

Red meats are filled with steroids and toxins.

So, what single food do you think causes years of pain after consuming it?

Silence in the lecture hall until a white haired 70 year old whispered...”Wedding cake”.

:lol :lol :applause Two for two, cliff.
AS luck would have it, I have to speak at a wedding in the near future, and danged if I'm not opening with this one. (I was planning to go with the old "Married men don't really live longer; it just SEEMS longer".)

In truth, I'm coming up to our 47th anniversary and have no real complaints. And as long as she can see fit to continue to lower her standards, I'm guessing we're good for a while yet.

The wedding cake brought me 51 years of marriage and to 76 years still want to go fishing if the food Cliff mentioned have not taken their toll.

Eric looked pretty good yesterday at the memorial service for his wife, so the food hasn't hurt him too badly because he had a nice pouch hanging over his belt. :lol He still looks pretty healthy for a 50 year old man. :) I guess that he'll have to buy a new kayak since he sold all his old ones, because I plan on keeping him busy fishing come Springtime.
