Found some cheap cabinets on the curb and repurposed an old tennis ball caddy for my rods.
Really happy with how the cabinets came out. I put my reels and flies in one, gloves and some other light gear in the other.
Unsure why I put those trasbags in that caddy. Just looked like they belonged I suppose. ImageImage

Always! I just need some neighbors to cooperate with their throwaways!

I made my own whip finish tool after breaking mine out of a pencil and a large safety pin bent into shape and glued with epoxy into the eraser. I still use it sometimes as it is smaller than most and works great for small flies and those with hackles that get in the way. I also glued a small strip of left over foam to the brim of my hat to dry off flies while fishing before returning them to the box. Necessity fuels creation when it comes to new ideas.

Great topic :)

I use unscented dryer sheets in two ways: 1. dye a sheet and cut in strips for nymph bodies. They have a really good texture. Can be twisted or overlapped. 2. pull fibers from a sheet for dubbing. One sheet lasts a very long time.

I cut the boots from my old leaky waders and use them in the garden when it is wet outside.

Film negatives (I know, I know :) ) can be cut and used for nymph backs. Fun to experiment with them.

Hey Paul,
I wonder if those could be used as "aquasocks" in boots for times when we wet wade?
