so my wife and yours truly went surf fishing a couple of times last week.
i am very careful with our waders- making sure not to walk on sand/gravel etc.
so it figures, i forgot a pad to stand on when suiting up. DUH......
Your mats in your truck make excellent pads to stand on.
No need to buy "official" wader pads.

Yeah, but do your floormats say "I am haunted by rivers" on them? I mean really, how effective can they be without a good, solid "A River Runs Through It" reference?
On the other hand, if they say "Ford", well, that IS a river reference, isn't it? :lol
(Great idea, by the way. I often put my waders on beside the truck in the woods, and worry about an accidental piercing, and never thought about just hauling out the floormat.)

Before my wife bought me the Fishpond mat, I used carpet remnants. You can buy a piece for cheap that will make several changing mats.

I have always been happy with carpet remnants, and I also have a small folding chair that works great to sit on while taking off your wading boots.
