you know those plastic or vinyl lunch bags the kids use or you use for the job, they make great reel carriers, lure or fly carriers (I use them in the surf to carry lures or fly boxes). You can also pick them up cheap at most retailers.

Yep - been using these for many years for my vintage fly reels- get them at garage sales.

Yep. Use 'em all the time for my fly tying gear. Stops the 'roaches laying eggs on my stuff and forces me to try and be tidy (I am in the desert and 'roaches need no excuse)
Also use them for my Saltwater FF leaders, Keeps them tidy. Also loads of other uses for the larger bags. e.g. Having sterilised my wooden chopping board I put it in a large sandwich bag prior to a trip, keeps it clean for when get something suitable for sashimi…
Yes sometimes on Ultralite gear….
