Brook Trout, by Nick Karas is probably the most quintessential piece of literature on brookies. This book covers the history of brookie fishing in the North America, and also discusses biology, as well as different regions in the bookies range, etc.
This book is HIGHLY recommended for the serious Brook Trout fisherman. I give it 5 out 5 stars.

I have a copy. I enjoyed reading it and must say it is very detailed. Not a "How To" book but more a book about the brook trout and it's history here and around the world. A very good addition to the flyfisherman's library.
