Hello to my fellow ULFF fanatics. I often say how I mostly fish small streams. Well it just dawned on my senile mind that a couple of my books are read over and over and I hope you will discover them too. The first is Tying & Fishing Soft-Hackled Nymphs by Allen McGee (Frank Amato, 2007). Besides a vast number of soft hackle patterns described, there is history and stream techniques galore. I just keep rereading this volume and learning something new each time. It's a paperback and very affordable. The second book is Small-Stream Fly Fishing by Jeff Morgan. Many of you are probably familiar with this volume. While he does occasionally use a 4 wt, the info is sound and the photos are great. Both available on Amazon Books.
