This is an enjoyable read for the fly man. I keep it bedside for an occasional read before lights out or if I have one of those nights where sleep is difficult. The stories are of the old classic northeastern fly man; very witty, dry humor on all topics well recognized by anyone who has spent any time trying to fish with a fly. If you like fishing stories, you will enjoy his way of telling them.-p-

Paul, I know what an expert Gene is at keeping them off the hook. I remember days at Caddo Lake, Lake Fork and Creslyn Cutoff when I was catching fish after fish from the back of Gene's boat and he was keeping them off his hook in the front of the boat. It took a great deal of expertise to keep them from impaling themselves on his hook, but he did it! Gene's the man!!! :applause :applause :applause
