I'd thought I'd try to assess the favored knots in the UL community --

For tippet to fly - the Clinch knot (not the improved version) for dries, wets, nymphs, a loop knot for streamers.
For tippet to leader - a double or triple surgeons knot.

My San Diego Jam knots hold much better than my Improved Cinch knots.
There's a series of knot testing done on YouTube. Google "Knot Wars Lite". The Jam knot outperformed most all others.

I had San Diego jam and unimproved clinch, and Harvey dry fly knot....but there are a max number of entries for polls . Sorry! I enjoy knot tying and have my select few that I rely upon 100%. I am always interested in which ones other folks use.

I use the SD jam knot when fishing conventional spin or cast, but the knot takes too much tippet for light line fly fishing so I'm always replacing the tippet on my leader. However, when fly fishing larger rods (7,8,9) I do use the knot, especially when I'm using a florecarbon tippet-p-

I'm a Davys knot guy. It is great when using size 22 to 30 with 6X-8X as it ties a very small but strong knot.

Conveted to the Davy knot but also use the Orvis and mono loop.

Non-Slip mono loop is my favorite though sometimes I am too lazy to tie it, other than that improved clinch and double or triple surgeons depending on what I am knotting onto what and their thicknesses.

I use a clinch knot, but I loop it twice through the eye of the hook. There may be a name for the knot, but I just started to do it on my own. I just fish dry flies (yes, one of those snobs), and I find using this knot holds the fly upright better.

i'm an improved clinch guy, but only because i cannot seem to get the davy knot to seat properly when i get out on the stream. watched all the videos and have practiced it at home, but just can't seem to make it work for me. have a buddy who swears by it and even uses it on streamers.

I feel the double Davy knot works better. I messed around with it for awhile, and the double was better for me.
I went back to my version of the clinch, because i'm an old man set in his ways.

I thought the trilene would have more proponents, but I am happy to sing its praises. I am very lucky that I read lefty's advanced fly fishing book early in my angling career and the trilene was one of the most important things I took from that book. It is the cadillac of knots.

I have just rejoined the forum and this would be my first post. I use the Turle knot for my fly to tippet connection. Only on rare occasions I may use the Midge knot. Mike S

I really thought more would be using a non-slip loop knot?

I love the non slip mono loop for steelhead flies. I don't steelhead fish very often so I have the knot tying instructions taped to the lid of my fly box.
