When you tie on a terrestrial or spider, do you go under and through the hook eyelet or do you go over. It's just something I though about one day fishing when my spider would land upside down. If anyone has experimented please let me know. Thanks

One thought, stretch your leader from the fly to straighten it a bit but it is more likely a problem with the fly if it remains upside down. Fly lines/leaders do not have an up or down side.

Watch real terrestrials when they fall in the water. They're drowning, and aren't always upright.

It only matters if you use a Turle- or Palomar-type knot.

I tie them on whatever way I can get the tippet through the eye the quickest.

I tie my flies on with a non slip loop knot, never had a problem with them landing upside down. Occasionally some of the foam flies I tie tend to land upside down and have to undergo a redesign.
