Just got a Surefire X300 weapon mounted light. I wanted it for when things go bump in the night. I never liked to hold a flashlight in one hand and the pistol in the other. This way I get a very bright 170 Lumen light, and still have a two handed grip on the weapon.

Neat J. what auto is that...not a real gun fellow here and not familiar...I too would rather not have to grip a flashlight if I needed one in a unlighted enviroment...

Super...............That is a very good light, beware the light does not get dimmer as the batteries get low/ the light will be VERY bright right up till the end, then when the batteries reach a certain level the light will just suddenly go dark.......It can make you think the bulb has burned-out. (good idea to keep extra set of batteries handy)............Don S in SC

I can stand at the back door and light up the whole back yard and see down to the creek, which is about 50 yards from the back door. It's also a true white light, not bluish like a lot of other LED's. It also has a 2.5 hour tactical run time, so the circuitry is more efficient on it than the X200 that the X300 replaced. The only thing about it that is kind of a bummer is the Lithium 123 batteries. They are expensive, but at least Walmart carries them.

J.,
Cool set up. I have a SureFire light I use for hunting, fishing and camping. I won it at work. It is the 2 battery job and it lights up like a spot light.
Cool looking set up.

J, Neat pistol! A little too big for me to put in my pocket while I fish though. I never go fishing without my Ruger LCP 380. It's super light and fits in a Blackhawk pocket holster. The light is neat, but my eyes will have to adjust to the dark because a light takes up space in my pocket. I'm a UL fly guy, and so I've become a UL gun guy? I have a "concealed carry" permit so I take this tiny gun legally everywhere I go anymore!...... even to Church!!

I buy Surefire 123A batteries for $1.75 each locally. Lighthound carries several brands for under $2.00 each.
