My son and I went out on a bunny safari today. They must i a low cycle as we saw very few. My son carried the Marlin 17 Mach II - an accurate shooter for sure. I carried my Browning Buckmark 22 in a shoulder holster. My son killed this one at around 30 yards....head shot....all he could see through the brush. I plan on a few more safaris and perhaps have enough for rabbit and dumplings. Season ends the end of Feb. Makes for nice sport during the slow cold months when the rivers are froze.

I think I would rather hunt bunnies out there in that open country rather than crash through thickets that they hole up in here.

Rabbit stew! Turnips, Parsnips, Taters, Carrots, Celery, Onion, garlic, rosemary, basil, touch of sage... Bring it!!!!
