I was hoping to draw on that hunt up near Leadore, Idaho but we didn't. My son loves to shoot but hunting is something he is still taking for a 'test run' so to speak. So, when I checked online and found we didn't draw, I asked him what general hunt he might be interested in. He said he was more interested in just doing some target shooting this Fall when it cools down. So, that is what we will do.

I might do some river bottom whitetail hunting here close to home in the short range weapon area with my Hawken 50 cal. We will see. I would love to put a whitetail doe in the freezer. I love mule deer but whitetails taste better - almost as good as elk, just smaller.
