Has anyone tried the Trout Magnets with small jig heads? I have ordered some for this spring UL Spinning and fly rod casting.
Regards, FK

I don't do alot of trout fishing, but I have caught trout on small jig heads, #10 or #12 , with both soft plastic trailers and marabou.

Haven't tried the trout magnets yet, but plan on getting some this year. I've read they are killer for bluegill.

FK, are you not happy with the Trout Magnet jig heads or just looking for more options?

Knotty,
More options, the Trout Magnet jig heads have a very small hook, wanted to test them on stocked trout and bluegills.
In addition, have read so many comments on how effective the Trout Magnet soft plastics were on fish,,, wanted to give them a test drive.

Knotty,
Thank you, great source for UL jig heads.
More economical than making from fly tying hooks and slotted tungsten beads.
The sickle hooks look interesting.

I just ordered 1/80oz size 8, and 1/100oz size 10, both 50 packs from Knotty's link on eBay. I have ordered from him before, and received great quality. The only down side is painting the heads yourself.

Andy, can they be cast or are they too light? I don't do the hard water thing, I hate the cold. I so need to move to eastern Tennessee, can't handle Ohio weather anymore.
