Bass Pro Shop sells a glass ultra light spinning rod, dubbed the Micro Lite.
Saw these online for $19.99.
Haven't had a chance to check one out yet.
Anyone have any experience with one?

A guy who works with me has one and likes it. He also fly fishes. That's about all I can offer on the subject.

I checked them out a few times last year at some bass pro stores and they feel a lot like the Eagle Claw Feather Lite rods. I have been pondering getting one as a beater rod. They get very good reviews on bass pros site.

At $20 if you don't like it, just give it away.

I have bought four of them LOL and turned one into a fly rod, it has an ERN of 3.4 ? forgot, I buy the 5ft one piece ones, they are awesome. and BTW they make an awesome fly rod also, very good roll caster and very accurate and sensitive.

I finally made it to a Bass Pro Shop (Denton TX) and picked up the 6'6 version of the Micro Lite.
I added a foam butt that I had scavenged off of another rod and so far I'm loving it. Great caster - lots of distance and accurate.....and a lot of fun with fish on.

This is one of two I have built this year from micro lite blanks...Works great for small back country streams above 9000 feet. And fishing with it for bluegill is so much fun.. I have four more to do this winter... https://i1378.photobucket.com/albums/ah ... wp2e0g.jpg
