Will post details later but this is what can be done bank fishing with an UL spin rod and 3# tippet. My best bass day ever. Only fish that broke me off was a large pickerel.

It was a variety of soft plastics. I'd use one until I broke off on a snag or miss cast into overhanging tree branches.

The rod was a 6' TFO Signature Fly/Spin spooled with Sunline Troutist Area Meister 3# .005" line. This is the stuff that alternates between 8 m of high vis orange and 2 m of stealthy smoke colored line. It's like using tippet, so thin, and to me it feels like the break strength is closer to 2#. Casts far with light lures, though that wasn't needed this day.

The reel is a WaveSpin ZTR1500. It has a unique spool that prevents birdnests even if you cast with a loop over the spool. Pretty amazing but its heavy and not high quality.

The bass in the upper left was caught on a long green centipede that I found on the ground. Put it on a 1/16th or 1/32 jig hook. It was big but still easy to cast.

Top right bass was also on a light jig hook but with a crappie type tube. Basically a tube's tentacles on back but the front half is solid like a senko.

The bottom bass was on a Zoom tiny fluke, nose hooked using circle hook and Owner center pin spring retainer like I described in one of my other posts.

The remainder, I don't remember. Bottom line is being light, all had lots of natural motion.
