I was in North Carolina last week and managed to hook two trout but landed only the one rainbow, about 12".
I was using a Cetus SS500 loaded with 4 lb mono on a Shakespeare Ugly Stik 3-pc pack rod. I was using a Panther Martin, single hook with barb crushed down, gold spinner with the black body with yellow polka dots.
I'm heading out to Yellowstone and Glacier next month with my fly rods to see what I can do. They prolly won't be UL, though. Currenty figuring on taking my 4, 6, and 8 wts.

Your trip next month could be absolutely beautiful if you get there when the trees are changing colors. Have a great time and catch plenty of trout!

Thanks! I'm meeting my brother and his wife out there. We're gonna do a fair amount of fishing in Yellowstone, and mebbeso some near Glacier.
A good time will be had!
